Slack integration for team retrospectives

TeleRetro for Slack brings your retrospectives into the channel your team already uses. Run the session in TeleRetro, then share the invite and the summary in Slack, so everyone knows when to join and what you agreed.

How TeleRetro works in Slack

You connect TeleRetro to one Slack channel. From then on, you can share three things there:

• Retro invitations. Send the board link to your channel before the session, so nobody has to hunt for it.
• Retro summaries. Post the top feedback and open action items once you've wrapped up.
• A way back in. Every summary includes a View Board link, so anyone can jump back into the full retro.

The retro itself happens in TeleRetro. Slack is where the team sees what's coming up and what you agreed.

How to install TeleRetro in Slack

You'll need a TeleRetro account. A free one is fine.

1. Create or sign in to your TeleRetro account.
2. Go to Team Dashboard → Integrations and select Add to Slack.
3. On Slack's authorisation screen, pick your workspace. Under Where should TeleRetro post?, choose a channel.
4. Review the permissions and select Allow. If your workspace needs app approval, ask your Slack admin.
5. You're back in TeleRetro and ready to share.

Pick a channel where everyone should see your retro outcomes. Your team channel is usually the right call.

What to do after installing

1. Invite your team. Open a retro, or start a new one from our retro formats. Use the Slack sharing option on the board and the invite lands in your channel.
2. Run your retro. Brainstorm, vote and agree on actions as usual. An icebreaker helps everyone settle in.
3. Share the outcomes. Open Summary → Export this retro and choose Slack. Your channel gets the summary and open actions, with a View Board link back to the retro.

That's it. Your team sees what you agreed, right where they already talk.
